SIMLPLICITY AND BROKENNESS/TRUE WORSHIP.

True worship must involve good works. The reason for mysaying that is the fact that everything we do in accordance with the scriptures in other honour and serve God, is a part of worship. In the book of Epesians chapter2 and verse 10, we read as follows:10 "For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should we should walk in them" Thus we can see clearly from here that the purpose of the new creation is good works. It is true that we are not saved by our works but by grace, but if the purpose of our creation is so that we can do good works, then we can't keep decieving ourselves by saying thatour living any how does not really matter because we are saved by grace.Look again at this beatiful scripture in the book of Titus chapter 3 and verse 8.
8 " This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, thatthey which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good, and profitable unto all men."
Again in the book of James chapter1 and verse 27, we read as follows:
27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this,To visit the fatherless and the widow in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world". I have heard the saying over and over that christianity is not a religion, however, religion has to do with worship and objects of worship. The almighty God is the ultimate personality to be worshipped. Thus true worship must include what the Bible talked about in the book of James above.Looking after the widows, orphans and keeping yourself unspotted from the World are good works, and they are all acts of true worship.
